Winter is coming…
We can all feel it, the temperature is dropping, getting up in the morning is becoming that little bit harder because we want to stay in the cosy comfort of our beds. Winter is on the way.

With autumn truly underway winter is knocking at the door with its cold hands, so I thought what better time to come at you all with a helpful checklist for things you can do around the home to make getting through winter a little cleaner and healthier.
With the cold weather on its way we are going to be spending a lot more time inside and a lot less time with the windows open. Here are some things you should do before it gets too chilly to make your home the best place to be this season.

WASH AND DISINFECT BINS/WASTE RECEPTACLES:
Not a super specific winter tip here but one that makes a difference when keeping heat in and the cold out. No one wants to be stuck in a home with stinky bins, so be sure to take the time to make sure your garbage isn’t the worst.

WASH AND DISINFECT TOILET BRUSH HOLDERS:
When was the last time you cleaned your toilet? And when was the last time you thought about the holder for your poor toilet brush? We can’t have a clean toilet with a dirty brush. What better time to make sure your bathroom is a sanitary place to wash.

WASH/CLEAN THE TOPS OF DOORS, TRIM, ARTWORK (ANY SMALL OVERLOOKED LEDGE THAT WILL COLLECT DUST):
These are areas of your home that are easily overlooked in day to day cleaning and accumulate a surprising amount of dust. Best to eliminate such irritants before closing up your home to keep in the heat.

CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS:
Windows are a magnet for condensation and condensation can lead to mould. Get a jump start and make sure your windows are spotless and keep on top of it.

BEAT OUT RUGS/CURTAINS:
Anyone with a big fluffy rug will know they seem to magically fill with all the filth in your home, so taking it outside and giving it a good beating when the weather is nice is a great way to eliminate a source of dust and irritants from the home. Same goes for curtains, you don’t often see people giving their curtains enough attention.
And of course the best wat to do all this cleaning is with naturally made and safe cleaning products Like those offered by Littlefoot. I know I’ll be working my butt off getting my place ready for winter, how about you?
