The Silly season is upon us

The end of the year is getting closer, the weather is heating up, the shorts and jandals are coming out and that means the unbridled chaos that is the oncoming holiday season will soon be upon us.

That time of year where we catch up with family, eat till we don’t want to move, and exchange gifts. While it all sounds great behind these pleasantries lie a darker side, the sinister part of the holidays we don’t want to face, long lines and congestion in shops, the stress of getting your partner just the right gift, having to deal with that crazy uncle you only see once a year and the dreaded post-Xmas’s dinner dishes!

But what is darker than all that is the waste that comes with the season. While it's all well and good to enjoy the holiday season we shouldn’t forget about our Eco friendly focus. So this holiday season Keep that eco-friendly mentality present. If you can avoid waste in your gift giving, do so. No need for expensive wrapping paper and plastic bows, remember it’s the thought that counts, and what’s more thoughtful than helping the planet for the next generation? Not much I’d say ;)
